Un viaggio attraverso un’opera matura e inedita di due dei protagonisti dell’architettura milanese del dopoguerra gli architetti Asnago e Vender: l’edificio in Corso Sempione 75, a Milano, progettato e realizzato negli anni sessanta del Novecento descritto, soprattutto, dal punto di vista della tettonica della facciata. 
L’intento è duplice: da un lato mostrare come il sistema resistente intelaiato venga considerato, in analogia con la produzione italiana del tempo, quasi come evoluzione del sistema trilitico; dall’altro indicare come in questo caso gli autori giungano a un superamento degli opposti principi di muro e telaio grazie a un’articolazione, tra le più complesse nella loro produzione, del rapporto tra elementi e piano di facciata, tra figura e sfondo.

 This book aims to offer a visit to a work by Asnago and Vender (two important protagonists of the Milanese architecture of post-war period): the building in Corso Sempione 75, in Milan, which was projected and realized during the Sixties and it is described here above all from the point of view of the tectonic façade. The purpose is double: on one hand it’s to show how the framed system is considered a sort of evolution of the trilitic system, similarly to the Italian production of that time; on the other hand it’s to indicate how in this case the authors come to overcome the opposition between wall and frame thanks to a re-examination of the relationship between items and base in the façade, hence between figure and background.
